The Pride of Alexander City Wildcat Marching Band
The Pride performs at football games and numerous events throughout the community and state. Typically, the band participates in two well-established marching contests or festivals each year. In addition, The Pride hosts and performs exhibition at the Lake Martin Invitational Marching Competition at picturesque Charles Bailey SportPlex in Alexander City. This event occurs on the first Saturday in October and boasts top-tier judges and amenities, and participation from all over the state.
Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Freshman Band
The Freshman Band consists of ALL incoming BRHS Band 9th graders. It is our fundamental training ensemble for the BRHS Band program and a springboard for all other BRHS Band ensembles. The Concert and Symphonic Bands consist of between 60-80 players in grades 10-12. All bands perform concerts at Christmas and in the Spring on-campus. In addition, the Symphonic Band performs a number of times at local events and at the Elementary schools in Alexander City.
Both bands perform at the Alabama Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessment each Spring. The Symphonic Band has a strong tradition of Superior ratings at this event, and at the District and State Assessments that existed before their consolidation into MPA. The Concert Band has joined in that tradition in recent years.

The Jazz Band
The Jazz Band meets during the Spring semester and performs a Spring concert and represents the school and Pride band program at numerous events each year. The ensemble is open to all who are interested and dedicated to the challenge of performing a great and vast selection of material in a short amount of preparation time.
